Emtelle Group CEO Tony Rodgers named a regional winner in EY Entrepreneur of the Year™ Awards
We are thrilled to announce that Tony Rodgers, CEO of Emtelle, has been honoured as the International Leader of the Year at the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ regional celebration dinner in Edinburgh. Tony’s exceptional leadership and vision have been rightfully recognised with this prestigious award by an independent judging panel.
The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2024 UK programme celebrates entrepreneurial talent across the country, selecting 20 regional winners for their vision, innovation, and leadership in building successful businesses. Tony is now set to compete in the UK final for the title of EY Entrepreneur of the Year™ 2024 at an awards night in November. The overall UK winner will represent the nation at the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year™ event in Monte Carlo in 2025.
Tony said: “I am honoured to be named EY’s International Leader of the Year in Scotland. This award highlights Emtelle’s growth and innovation in delivering pre-connectorised, blown fibre cable and ducted network solutions globally.
“Our expansion into North America with our factory in Fletcher, North Carolina, and the upcoming launch of a Global Innovation Centre and Manufactory Facility in UAE are significant milestones. Despite our global presence, I am proud that our main hub remains in Scotland, where Emtelle was founded in 1980. Our headquarters in Hawick and our centre of excellence in Jedburgh employ hundreds and house our R&D facilities, where we develop world-leading solutions.
Frank O’Keeffe, Managing Partner, EY UK & Ireland Markets, said on EY.com: “This year’s regional winners are inspirational and truly embody the entrepreneurial spirit. They’ve shown remarkable adaptability and leadership, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with their creativity and determination, and collectively employ over 19600 people across the UK.
“We are proud to recognise their success through the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ programme and look forward to seeing their continued growth and impact.”
